Unlike the standard units from other companies, which require you to supply a steel post and weld a plate on top for motor mounting, we provide a 5-foot long, 4"x4" steel post, painted Rust-Oleum Black for easy touch-ups, with the mounting plate pre-installed. This saves you time, money, and the hassle of finding a welder. The GateCrafters.com Do-It-Yourself kit makes installation completely bolt-on and simple. The Apollo 3600ETL Dual Gate Opener is a low-voltage system, eliminating the need to run 110 AC power to your gate. Simply run 16-gauge low voltage wire to a household outlet within 1,000 feet of the operator or use a Gate Crafters solar panel. With Apollo's generously sized NEMA 3R control box, you can house a larger battery than most gate operating systems. A larger battery means more cycles during power outages or low sunlight (if using solar). A fully charged deep cycle marine battery can provide up to 300 cycles, or an average of 30 days of usage on a basic system, before needing a recharge (battery not included). Each cycle consists of a full open and close, taking approximately 15 seconds each way.
 The 1050 series control board, released by Apollo in 2013, is the next generation of smart boards for gate openers. It includes a built-in solar regulator, an LCD display for programming and diagnostics, digital controls for force, speed, and delay, surge suppression, a clock and timer, and a multimeter for battery voltage. Customizable and UL 325-16 compliant, the 1050 US Board also supports monitored photo eyes to prevent failures if the photo eye malfunctions.
