Our primary material has always been kiln-dried, fine-textured Western Red Cedar, chosen for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, ease of machining to fine tolerances, and superior paint-holding abilities.
Cedar is a great choice for outdoor use because of its versatility. It can be stained, painted, or used “as delivered” in its raw state for a rustic look. After some weathering, cedar naturally turns a light grey color. You can also preserve its natural hue by regularly applying a UV wood sealer.
One of the unique features of our gates is the welded eleven-gauge steel frame, completely concealed inside the cedar to provide distinctive quality and design. The internal steel frame joints are all welded to ensure maximum strength. On the exterior, all angled joints are screwed, glued, and filled with wood filler. Bungs are used to fill all straight-drilled holes, and both angled and straight holes are sanded to ensure a smooth, seamless finish.

This Cedar Gate design is available in six standard sizes: 10', 12', 13', 14', 15', and 16'. These measurements reflect the actual width of the gate itself. Select your preferred size from the drop-down menu above. Standard gates typically ship within 30 days.
The gates are identical on both sides and are 4" thick. Standard limitations are a maximum width of 16' and a maximum height of 90". All gates include ball-bearing hinges for easy hanging.
The hinges provide a 3" gap between the gate and the post.
