    The Liftmaster garage door keypad 878MAX Wireless Keypad is the same reliable and convenient access device that has been used with Liftmaster garage door openers for years. Reprogramming a liftmaster keypad is easy. Now it is available for operating Liftmaster automatic gate openers, and still offers the same convenience and reliability.

    The Liftmaster 878MAX Keypad provides convenience and security with its rolling code 390Mhz design. This means that the signal changes for each use, keeping potential thieves from stealing and copying the frequency. Combined with the digital code set by the user, this rolling code provides superior security. Additionally, the 976LM provides the means of protecting the confidential code by allowing a setting for a temporary code for visiting friends, delivery personnel, etc.

    Moreover, the single button close function is a convenient means of closing the gate. The backlit keys also make operation easy at night or in other instances of low lighting. The Liftmaster Keypad is simple to mount, program, and use. Installation is completely wireless so there are no clumsy cords or burying of wire.

    The Liftmaster 878MAX wireless keypad will work in replacement for the Liftmaster 976LM and the Liftmaster 977LM.

    877 MAX opener.

    Very fast service. 3 day delivery. The original opener died. (14 yrs old) This replacement is the exact replacement as the original. It took about 15 minutes to open the box, read the instructions to reprogram it, take off the old one, replace the new one and reprogram it. It actually worked on the 2nd reprogramming try.     Works Great!

    We bought our home 3 years ago and it came with remote openers for both garage doors. Based on their appearance, they've been here for awhile. We are completing a remodel so I came to the site today to order new remotes. i'm disappointed to see the issues described here. We have never had a problem with the remotes on this house, except occasionally we have to press "Enter" 2 times. We had the same remotes on our previous house and they worked flawlessly for many years. Once we get these new ones, I'll check back. If it is the cold weather that creates the problem, I think we are in luck as we live in Phoenix. Republished from liftmaster.com

    Much better than older controllers

    I bought this for my new house, but I used to have an older version in my previous house. I'm not sure if it was the same model number, but this 877MAX is a better version. First, the battery compartment is a lot easier to open. My previous one was very difficult to get open...therefore, it discouraged me from regularly changing the battery. I feel like I'll be more inclined to keep the battery fresh in this newer one. The next change that I like is the single button "door down" feature. The older one required you to key in the pin code to close the door. This model only requires you to do it to raise the door. You can change this to where it requires the code for both door up and door down if you prefer. Time will tell how this one holds out, but so far, I think it's superior to the older model in every way. I've ordered a second one for the other garage door. Republished from ebay.com
